BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Working as an integral part of the agency management team, the Business Development Director will be responsible for evangelizing and championing business development and customer acquisition strategy by implementing and executing creative, account and project management processes.

The Business Development Director will understand the needs of our clients thoroughly, helping to translate briefs into brand experiences with WOW-factor, ultimately leading to new business and revenue for the agency.

 

Growth will be measured in three ways:
1. Increasing agency revenues;
2. Leadership metrics including growing, inspiring and mentoring team members;
3. Helping nurture and deepen client relationships.

 

The ideal candidate will have existing c-level and senior level contacts and be able to demonstrate an ability to develop long-term relationships that generate new business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the sales pipeline to ensure a stable business growth. A key measurement is net revenue and year-on- year revenue growth;
  • Responsible for driving business for new practice areas, where success is measured by the revenue generated for these new practice areas;
  • Collaborating with the agency’s team to support the pitch process, including the creation of sales and marketing collaterals, pitch presentations, and statements of work and credentials;
  • Identifying new qualified opportunities for the agency using an established network as well as expanding upon that network whilst in the role;
  • Share insights and demonstrate leadership to employees using case studies that relate to the services we deliver.  This includes educating the team on industry trends so that they can better advocate our service offerings to clients.

 

PROVIDE STRONG LEADERSHIP

The Business Development Director will develop and implement the strategy that will grow the business, and serve as a role model by embodying our core values. Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the management team to define and document the strategy for the business. This includes identifying (and evolving) service offerings, determining
    resource needs, defining company structure and so on;
  • Mentoring, growing, inspiring and coaching team members to help them achieve their
    professional goals;
  • Helping to ensure that team members are living and breathing the company values and
    positively contributing to the culture of the company.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • 5+ years’ experience in creative, integrated marketing and/or live events. At least 3 years in a leadership role in an agency environment;
  • Proven experience in proposing and landing integrated marketing solutions, live / brand activations, strategy and creative services projects;
  • Strong strategic thinking abilities and demonstrated success in leading teams in executing strategies;
  • Superior communication, time-management, relationship management, and presentation skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

 

The Business Development Director will receive a base salary and performance bonuses upon accomplishment of agreed objectives.

PRODUCER

We’re looking for an experienced, energetic and dynamic Producer to join our growing agency, to bring our ideas to life covering branding projects and experiential events and take charge of vendor selection, vendor management, production timelines, budgets, cost management and project execution.

The Producer should be driven by insight-led thinking, igniting solutions that are bold, inspiring and memorable.

Working alongside the creative and project management teams, the Producer will contribute to our creative process by bringing ideas to the table and preparing provisional schedules, estimates and vendors shortlists, recommending construction or implementation methods, materials and equipment, as well as vendors and partners.

The Producer will draft budgets, negotiate supplier deals, create production timelines, arrange purchases and make logistics arrangements.

The Producer shall also oversee the search for locations, sign location agreements and when required, liaise with government authorities and the Police regarding permits.

During production and execution, the Producer will ensure quality delivery of all collaterals and production elements offline and on-ground during the campaign, ensuring safety compliance standards & ensuring production schedules are followed through and budgets are on target.

Following production, the Producer should evaluate vendors and partner’s performance and delivery.

 

Our ideal candidate:

  • brings extensive project management experience in producing creative projects, exhibition, events and brand activations;
  • is knowledgeable with technical drawings;
  • pays strong attention to detail coupled with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel;
  • Is a team player and collaborator who thrives in a creative environment;
  • takes responsibility and ownership of projects, is self-motivated and can work well under high pressure;
  • has excellent communication and coordination skills as well as problem-solving abilities;
  • Fluent English & Cantonese language skills. Mandarin is a bonus.

In this position the Senior Graphic Designer will work on a variety of products and activities, such as websites, advertising, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications and corporate identity, i.e. giving organisations a visual ‘brand’.

You’ll work to a brief agreed with the client, creative director and account / project manager and will develop creative ideas and concepts. The appropriate media and style has to be chosen to meet the client’s objectives and the work demands creative flair, up-to- date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.

This Senior Graphic Designer should have experience delivering smart, compelling and modern work, with a sharp portfolio demonstrating a range of skills and clear creative process.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing design briefs that suit the client’s purpose
  • Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design
  • Excellent communication skills in order to interpret and negotiate briefs with clients, and an ability to be innovative when redefining a design brief within the constraints of cost and time.
  • Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas to clients, management and account managers
  • Working with a range of media, including computer-aided design (CAD) and keeping up to date with emerging technologies
  • Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print
  • Collaborate with our team to define project objectives, set key performance metrics, and establish the best approaches to achieving the objectives
  • Inspire teammates every day, pushing forward the design culture and broader company culture

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 to 5 Years of directly related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in education and experience
  • Passion and enthusiasm for design, with creative flair and an ability to see other people’s points of view and take on board feedback
  • A flexible approach when working in a team, with strong listening, interpretation, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional time management skills including the ability to handle multiple clients with changing priorities

We are looking for someone that has experience working with multiple brands in the social media marketing space. The Social Media Manager must be a well-organized client-facing communicator who is passionate about all things social media marketing. We are growing and need someone that can hit the ground running.

The Social Media Manager will oversee social media campaigns from end-to- end with responsibilities including research, campaign & content creation, execution, monitoring and reporting. Knowledge of some SEO best practices is also helpful but not a requirement, as it is correlated to items we do in the social marketing and SEO space.

 

RESPONSBILITIES

  • Work with clients to create a social media strategy that collaborates with marketing, live experience, PR and advertising campaigns
  • Researching top influencers, competitors, and trends in clients’ industries creating strategy documents based on findings
  • Create timely and engaging content optimised for the platform used and for the intended audiences
  • Monitor sites for customer service opportunities and initiate conversations on behalf of clients
  • Analyze and report social media actions on a monthly basis
  • Create engaging and professional visuals that reflect the client and their brand (Customize social media pages (ex. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube), develop supporting offline collateral, create original content etc.)
  • Stay current with social media trends and tools, attend networking events on behalf of Catalyst, reading blogs, and listening to podcasts
  • Continue to refine and define our social marketing process
  • Work with teams to create a solid service offering that’s consistent across the Catalyst website, social media and credentials that is shared by the team

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of social media marketing experience (preferably with account management experience)
  • Experience with platforms including, but not limited to Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, WeChat, Weibo, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, and more
  • Knowledge of social media and analytics software (Hootsuite, Raven Tools, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of social media paid advertising campaigns including Facebook, Instagram, Weibo, Linkedin and Twitter
  • Ability to blog about social media on the Catalyst website based on research, experience, and relevant social media news
  • Strong understanding of user-generated content management, content marketing and reputation management
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills, including strategic content creation
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Exceptional time management skills including the ability to handle multiple clients with changing priorities

What you will do:

You will engage with consumers at our brand activations and assist in events that help brands to build a memorable relationship with their consumers. You carry the brand message and create attention in high traffic lifestyle and professional areas throughout Hong Kong.

You will proactively reach out to the general public to introduce the coolest products and brands in town, and also participate in sales-led brand activations, encouraging social media engagement, subscriptions and / or sign ups for premium clients.

Basically, you will represent the brand and be a spokesperson for them.
